Fees & Investment

Therapy is an investment in you. Yourself, your relationships, your role in your community and your future.

And let’s be real- the investment of therapy also demands a commitment of time, money, and energy! It is a powerful decision to make for yourself. And therapy is more than just a weekly session; it’s a process of self-discovery, transformation, and carving out space to navigate life’s challenges with more clarity and resilience. It’s about breaking free from patterns that no longer serve you and living more deeply in alignment with your values and goals.

Fees & Investment

Initial 15-minute consultation call: No charge

Individual counseling: $180/55-minute session

Cancellation policy: I reserve your appointment time just for you. You will be charged the full fee for canceled or rescheduled sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice. In the event of an unavoidable conflict or emergency we may be able to make other arrangements to avoid the cancellation fee.

Insurance & Out-of-Network

I am able to accept OHP Open Card. If you are a tribal member covered by OHP, you are likely enrolled in Open Card. Reach out to me if you’d like support figuring this out.

I understand that therapy is an investment. While I don’t accept other private insurances directly, I can provide a superbill—an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many clients with out-of-network benefits find this is a helpful way to offset the cost of therapy.

It is your responsibility to verify your Out-of-Network (OON) benefits. Questions you may find helpful to ask your insurance provider are:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

  • What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed for out-of-network providers?

  • Is there a deductible I need to meet before reimbursement begins? If so, how much is it, and how much have I met so far?

  • Are there any specific CPT codes or services excluded from coverage?

A note on financial values

And balancing my needs and sustainability, client/community needs and accessibility, and community care and justice.

Please know that I have thought long and carefully about how I set my fees. I hold the tension between wanting therapy to be more accessible and needing to sustain myself so I can continue to show up fully in this work.

At this time, I accept OHP Open Card and also offer private pay sessions. For those paying out of pocket, my fees reflect my training, experience, and the specialized care I provide, including trauma therapy, perinatal support, cultural identity exploration, and Brainspotting.

While many insurance systems require diagnoses, cap sessions, or deny coverage in ways that don’t honor the realities of trauma and healing, my goal is to keep our work centered on your needs and your story. Accepting OHP Open Card is one way I work to increase accessibility, while maintaining flexibility outside of the restrictions some insurance plans create.

I will not rescue you. For you are not powerless. I will not fix you. For you are not broken. I will not heal you. For I see you, in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.
